Regardless of whether are are in need of lawn care, landscape lighting or irrigation services, you can be confident that you made the right choice by choosing Custom Turf.
Our Irrigation Association Certified sprinkler designers will design a sprinkler system that will meet your lawn and landscape's specific needs. We use a registered master plumber to make the connection to your house's main water line (our plumber works in a subcontractor capacity). Your plumbing connection includes: a backflow-preventing device; a deduct meter; and pressure regulators or booster pumps, if necessary.
All of these components are installed as per your county and/or municipal authority codes. This is an often overlooked, yet key part of, your sprinkler installation process. Major problems can arise if the connection is not installed properly.
Our experienced installation crew uses the newest equipment and techniques as to create minimal soil disturbance (no lawn trenching!). We will leave your lawn as neat as when we started and we will provide a zone chart containing calculated run times that reduces insufficient or wasted watering practices. We only install the highest quality Rain Bird Sprinkler Systems and our sprinkler head placement allows for an even precipitation rate, thereby creating the lush, green lawn that you have always desired!
BEWARE of those companies that skimp on design. Because you see water spraying does not always mean that it is designed properly!
If your sprinkler system needs immediate attention then Custom Turf is your answer. We have a full-time office staff to answer the phone when you call and a manager will return your call within 24 hours. Our detailed invoicing system eliminates any confusion is there to provide you with all the information needed to fully understand your invoice. We service ALL brands of irrigation components including the most common: Rain Bird Sprinkler Systems, Toro and Hunter.
Sprinkler systems use an average of 18 gallons of water per minute. That is 1,080 gallons per hour! The average household (without factoring in irrigation) only uses 485 gallons per week. In other words, sprinkler systems use more water in just a half hour than your whole household uses in one week! If your system automatically runs for just one day for two hours on a lawn and landscape that does not need it, you are wasting 2,160 gallons of water!
Due to severe droughts and water restrictions, the irrigation manufacturing industry has been forced to produce more efficient products. These products are designed to reduce waste due to overwatering and to maximize the performance of your system. Western Pennsylvania has not experienced many water supply problems, and will probably not in the foreseeable future. However, new technology to improve water efficiency can be put to good use by saving our customers money while improving the appearance of lawns and landscapes.
