Custom Turf has been designing and installing residential and commercial
sprinkler systems for over 19 years. In that time, we have strived for
complete satisfaction, with a commitment to completing a job neatly and
professionally.
Our
sprinkler head placement allows for a more even precipitation rate. We will
provide a zone chart containing calculated run times that reduces
insufficient or wasted watering practices. Because you see water spraying
does not always mean that it is designed properly. BEWARE of those companies
that skimp on design. This will only leave bands of brown lawn when the
weather is dry!!!
Our
installation equipment and techniques cause minimal soil disturbance. We
can plow our pipe into your existing lawn without trenching. We will leave
your lawn as neat as when we started.

Sprinkler System
Installations

Custom Turf has achieved and
maintained the status of a Rain Bird Select Contractor. This means that we
must adhere to Rain Bird's strict Code of Responsibility - not only during
the initial installation, but also afterwards, when questions may occur.

Pennsylvania is one of a few states
that does not require training, education, or state certification to install
sprinkler systems. This, however, has not deterred us from attaining
certification in irrigation. In fact, our entire irrigation staff has
completed training in either design, installation, or troubleshooting. We
also have two employees that have completed national testing and
certification through the Irrigation Association. Click on the Irrigation
Association link and look us up under "Certified Professionals". |

We
use a registered master plumber to make the connection to your house's main
water line. The plumber works as a subcontractor of Custom Turf. Your
plumbing connection includes a backflow preventing device, a deduct meter,
and pressure regulators or booster pumps if necessary. All of these
components are installed per code for your county and municipal authority.
This is an often overlooked, yet key part of your sprinkler installation
process. Major problems can arise if the connection is not installed
properly. |
|
Approximately one week before we begin installation,
Custom Turf contacts Pennsylvania One Call for the marking of underground
facilities / utilities. Although codes are in place for the depth of
utilities, occasionally these utilities do not meet the requirements. We go
to great lengths to make sure that we do not inconvenience the customer by
damaging cable lines, phone lines, etc.
