Organic Based Lawn Care Program

Custom Turf now offers an environmentally safer alternative to traditional lawn care that reflects our green solutions philosophy.

Our organic-based program is designed to cultivate a proper soil environment by stimulating the presence of beneficial soil organisms. This is accomplished by incorporating only organically formulated balanced nutrients, minerals and slow-released fertilizers.

The organisms that live in the soil can actually help break down some elements of lawn fertilizers and increase their efficiency. If you have healthy soil with plenty of organic material and a high number of soil organisms, your grass will naturally fight diseases, and the pests that may attack it. An organic lawn care program maintains controlled, even growth while increasing microbial activity and humus in your soil.

Applications

#1 Early Spring - Custom Blend of organic based dry granular fertilizer. Preemergent control for crabgrass. Spot weed control for broadleaf weeds (weather permitting).

#2 Late Spring - Custom Blend of Organic Based (35% bio-solids) fertilizer. Spot weed control for broadleaf weeds.

#3 Early Summer - Custom Blend of Slow Release (50% organic base) fertilizer. Spot weed control for broadleaf weeds.

#4 Late Summer - Heavy rate of fertilizer containing 35% - 50% organic material. Spot weed control for broadleaf weeds.

#5 End of Season - Heavy rate of organic based fertilizer to resist in root development without causing heavy top growth.
