Hi, my name is Robert Kerns! I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and began working in the lawn care industry in 1983 while studying at Duquesne University. Probably the most memorable and educational early green industry experience was my time with Disney World in their grounds maintenance department.
I started a landscape business in 1988 and Custom Turf Lawn Care spawned from it in 1991. What I appreciate most about Custom Turf is our staff who service our customers better than anyone in the business. Our office, technicians, and crews are a delight to be with every day and we all share a love for the green industry.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I especially love to travel with my wife experiencing new places and meeting new people. I enjoy skiing and snowboarding with my daughters, running obstacle and trail endurance races with my running group, mountain biking, and gravel biking.
